ISCDP

Project Brief
ISCDP is the flagship community development project of Bosco Reach Out. The project seeks to build socially and economically empowered communities as it endeavours to build people’s capacity relative to self-development and development of society. The ISCDP is a uniform programme of BRO implemented as independent projects by the three zones in the regions under their jurisdiction.
The project is implemented in 39 regions of 16 districts in the two states of Assam and Meghalaya. Each Zone is responsible for project implementation in the regions under their jurisdiction. Self-help groups and cluster level federations are being promoted as part of group activities. The project entails capacity building of communities and recognising their worth. As such, communities have been organized for awareness drive, skill development and managerial training. Similarly, functional linkage with departments has been built to provide direct support to communities through sensitization and awareness on government schemes and programmes.
